Living the crypto life can be amazing at times and also stressful at times (much like the volatility of Bitcoin!), so I find it is good to take a break from time to time. For all the ‘Stache Club members out there you know that I post pretty regularly, but the last week or so I decided to completely disconnect while I was on vacation in Mexico. I had a great time and it really allowed me to reflect on how lucky I am to be able to help people in the crypto space. I truly believe in this emerging market and will continue to support such forward thinking ideas. Keep reading for a quick vacation recap with photos!
No Cares On The Riviera Maya
I live in Southern California so I have been going down to Mexico my whole life. For the last few vacations I headed down there with my girlfriend and we decided to return to the Playa Del Carmen area again for this most recent vacation.
We stayed at the Paradisus La Perla (adults only) in the city of Playa Del Carmen (basically just south of Cancun) in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. The room we got was an amazing 1 bedroom suite with a swim up balcony connected to the main pool. Here are some photos of the room.
I really just wanted to focus on relaxing on this vacation as we typically do a lot of excursions or activities. This time we decided on just 2 and I am glad we did. After the first day settling in and making some new friends we went to a local theme park called Xenses. It is a crazy concept where they challenge your senses in different ways. Lots of great photo opportunities here as they have cameras setup all over the park. Here are a few of my fav shots.
We had lots of fun at the hotel, mostly hanging at the pool drinking all day and eating hot wings and then hanging at the clubs at the hotel at night. Here are some shots around the hotel including Casino night!
On of the days we decided to head in to town so we walked along the beach to get there. We strolled down 5th Avenue which is the big merchant street and did some shopping and smoked some hookah. Then we headed to dinner at a local spot off 5th avenue that was recommended to us multiple times. El Fago was amazing and we ordered WAAAY too much food. We also go fresh coconut and dipped my toes into these cleaning fish for a while until we walked back to the hotel at night.
Spent more time hanging around until our Chichen Itza which was amazing. We stared off by swimming in a cenote then headed to lunch in a tiny mexican town. We got a blessing from the local shaman on our onyx stone and there was a huge buffet and they even had dancers! Then we headed to Chichen Itza and I really enjoyed it. Here are some photos.
It was really nice to get away and not looking at my crypto portfolio. I felt really relaxed as we left, maybe that was from the massage, but now that I am back I feel a lot more focused. Thanks for reading about my fun time, more great crypto content coming soon, but until then…
